Welcome to Svolvær Sjøhuscamp
Svolvær Sjøhuscamp is centrally situated in Svolvær harbour and
overlooks the harbour itself, which is encircled by a quayside
promenade, fishermen’s cabins (rorbu) and fish landing stations, all
of which are set in magnificent scenic surroundings. The view also
includes the famous Svolværgeita peak, where you can often see
mountaineers jumping between the horns of the “Svolvær goat.”
We offer reasonable overnight accommodation in
pleasant double rooms with a TV and kitchenette, more basic yet cosy
double rooms, or 4 berth rooms with a shared kitchen and lounge.
We also rent out a cosy, high standard apartment situated on the first
floor of the quayside building, furnished with a kitchen, Jacuzzi,
sleeping accommodation for 6 people and a spacious balcony with a
wonderful view.
On the sunny quayside quayside just outside the accommodations, you
can have your breakfast, dinner and evening meal, or you can simply
enjoy life in Svolvær harbour and sunbathe if the Clerk of the Weather
permits it.
We rent out bicycles and can help you hire a boat. If you choose to
cycle, you are only a short distance away from all that the city has
to offer, or the open countryside of Svolværmarka and the bathing
spots in both freshwater and sea. When hiring a boat, the fishing
grounds off Svolvær are only a short distance away, too. We also offer
fishing trips and rubber dinghy safaris with historical guiding in the
area around Svolvær.
Orca whale safaris and sea eagle safaris are available from October to
December together with other exciting winter adventures. See our
“Adventures” page. |
